I am a fourth‑year pharmacy student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where I’ve grown from a grateful new student into a clinician committed to patient care, community service, and professional excellence. After moving to Texas and balancing full‑time coursework with work responsibilities, I learned resilience, discipline, and the importance of perseverance. My introduction to the West Texas Pharmacy Association during my first year—an organization that supported me and became a second family—sparked my desire to give back to the communities I serve.

Through my advanced pharmacy practice rotations, I’ve gained hands‑on experience educating patients with chronic conditions, identifying medication‑related problems, and collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. These experiences have shaped my understanding of pharmacy as a profession grounded in empathy, accountability, and clinical judgment. I am especially passionate about serving patients who face barriers such as cost, access, and limited health literacy, and I hope to continue practicing in Texas communities where pharmacists play a vital role in improving access, prevention, and patient education.

As I complete my final year of training, I remain committed to carrying forward the values of service, responsibility, and excellence that have guided my journey so far.
